Clothes Pinning: Group Date

So we decide to switch things up this week. A few of us girls planned a group date (5 "couples") and went clothespinning. For those of you who haven't heard of it, it's truly entertaining. Each couple got 30 clothespins in a ziploc bag. Then we went around sticking them on people. The goal is to not get caught and be the first couple to get rid of all your pins.. Sierra didn't really catch on to that (: Gotta love her! Brian and Sierra got rid of all of theirs first but she had one on her hood she didn't notice. Steve and I were second (but because of the hood thing) WE WON! <3 Boo yahh!

We met in Stover lobby... Brittany and Nanu are a real couple, Glory and Joe were a blind date I set up, Natalie asked Ian as a friend, Sierra and Brian were a blind date Nanu and I set up, and I asked Steve, a friend in my Calculus class. I can't speak for the other people but I had a BLAST! I was crying almost the whole time from laughing so hard. Would definitely recommend it to anyone brave enough to try (; yes.. thats a challenge.

After that we played pool for a little while. I seriously suck so bad. It was embarrassing. I think I scratched more often than I got one in...poor Steve. Haha overall, good night (:

Lucky & Friends: Our Surprise Live Entertainment

T
hese amateur acrobats are anything but boring. With spandex suits, a full on beard, tricks, flips and WIPE OUTS, how could you NOT be enthralled?! Watch this video, be amazed, and call them to be your next party’s guest stars. (:

119th Boys: "A Whole New World"

As much as I loved my 110th ward boys, 119 is growing on me. <3 Just listen to them sing. Voices of angels.
Okay, maybe not quite…but when the first song that pops into a boy’s head is “A Whole New World”, you know he’s a keeper!

SURPRISE!! We threw a surprise birthday party for Natalie today. Acrobatic performers, tons of food, adorable decorations, dancing, music.. the works (: [way to go Morgan Akana, Nia Carlson, Madeliene Smith and all others who helped pull it off]

Food was delicious! Decorations best ever! And you can't beat the company. Thanks to everyone who came!

Towards the end we pulled out the whipped cream. Uh oh.. haha I got ambushed once by Daniel Cottam and Erik Anderson (Budge Boys Represent!) so we took a picture (Top). Of course, during the second picture Daniel decided to go for round 2. You boys are lucky I still love you (:

Erik also thought it would be a good idea to put a cork on a glass soda bottle, shake it, and then see what would happen. He's a chemical engineer major, you'd think he woulda known! Needless to say, the kitchen needed a second cleaning after that wonderful experiment (:

Tyler's Mission Call

My friend Tyler Molinaro (middle) opened his missionary call tonight! He's one of the sweetest guys I know, a total genius, hilarious--his puns are endless--and let's be real, how can you resist that face ladies! (: He was called to serve in the Belo Horizonte, Brazil mission speaking Portuguese. I'm so excited for him and can't wait to write him and hear all about his adventures (: Congrats Elder Molinaro!

Also in this picture is another best friend of mine, Jared Walton (left). He's a total dork, one of the most honest and sincere guys I've ever met, a fantastic friend, and a champ at racquetball. We played the other day.. I thought I was gonna die. I think I spent more time hiding from the ball than hitting it! (And he still put up with me...keeper! Haha) He also got his call recently and is going to serve for two years speaking Spanish in San Salvador, El Salvador mission. SOOOO COOL! <3

Kevin (right) hasn't gotten his call yet but we are guessing he'll go Spanish speaking. (:

Well Let's See...

So, I'm new to this. Probably apparent by now! I'm a college student at Brigham Young University currently majoring in Mechanical Engineering but considering another switch. To be honest, I have no idea what I want to do with my life. I've always had issues making decisions and choosing a major has proven to be no exception! I loved math and science in high school, AP Physics was probably the best class I ever took...and I was good at. However, Physics 123 here at BYU (apparently the 4th most stressful school in the US) is not quite as simple as I was hoping. The fact that I did not take either of the pre-requisites could have something to do with that... Anyways, enough about the nerdy stuff!

If you haven't caught on yet.. I'm a Mormon. And yes, I love it. Honestly, BYU freaked me out at first. So many people with knee length shorts, dancing, singing, smiling, and I swear everyone plays the piano. Boys hold doors open, ask girls on dates, go to church on Sundays... it's quite a culture shock coming from California. And if the culture didn't get to you, try the first day of classes where you go from being an AP student with over a 4.0, holding school athletic records, Homecoming royalty..one of a kind right?! Wrong. Once you get to BYU, you realize that EVERYONE (and by everyone, I literally mean every single person) was homecoming royalty, valedictorian, AP scholar, nationally ranked athlete, or a combination of the above.  Good luck standing out. (: It's a little intimidating at first. Especially when you don't recognize a single face you see throughout the day. It gets better though, I promise!

So that was first semester. Now I work as a Resident Assistant in Helaman Halls (and no, it's actually not social suicide). Then again, it helps being a freshman (: It's a little bit weird being the "moral support" and in charge of a floor of girls who are all older than me but I absolutely love it. I work with the best people, my floor is awesome, and I have learned so much (and it's only been a MONTH!) <3

So there's a recap of my BYU experience thus far. More to come if I can figure out how to work this blog situation... Thanks for reading <3
